Teams To Watch

Kahuku

Kahuku comes back to the Single-School bracket a year smarter and a year older. Having had little turnover since last year, the Raiders got a taste of the level of competition, and should be more prepared in 2018.

After a tour of Northern California, Kahuku is more tested, and the team has depth - crucial in a three-game tournament like this.

North Bay

Like Kahuku, a program that has success for boys and girls, North Bay won DII last year and has had almost no turnover from 2017.

Led by Alex Pipkin, this team has power, side, and teamwork, and is poised to shake things up in the club bracket.

United and South Bay

Many of the players from United formed the Idaho Grey Wolves that won the NAI 7s last August, and this was the team that took the nationals club competition in 2017.

It's a team that can handle the rough stuff up front and forces other teams to commit tacklers.

Much the same can be said of Southern California's South Bay. These two teams garnered a bye to the 2nd round in the club competition, and there's a reason for that. The only bad news is that because of the format, they won't meed in the final.

Catholic Memorial and DSHA

These two Wisconsin teams are at the center of the Girls NIT, and have a long-standing rivalry. The rivalry between their coaches is even longer. Catholic won the Midwest over DSHA two weeks ago. Divine Savior won't like that.
