Who might make a splash now? 17 players to watch:
Case Fleck, Ian Vanderloop, and Conrad Hillesheim
These Wisconsin Tier 1 players are at the center of what the Badgers are trying to do. This is very much a skill-based, ball-movement team, and these three are all scrumhalf-flyhalf-playmaker types. With so many field generals on this squad, Wisconsin will want to stretch defenses quickly.
Kyle Lazera
Another scrumhalf, Lazera is on the Florida Elite Dragons and has been a central halfback for the Jupiter Sharks for some years now. Experienced, intelligent, and athletic, he makes the Dragons go.
Adrionna Duncan and Serena White
Tennessee’s team is big in terms of depth and in terms of overall size. But Duncan brings an injection of pace to the team, while White was the MVP of the Tennessee state final, scoring three tries - both play for Tennessee state winners Columbia Central, and both have played for the USA South and are a big part of the Tennessee Tri-Stars effort.
Charlie Green
Green is ranked as one of the top flankers in the country, and as Saint Edward ran through an impressive season in Ohio and nationally, he was at the center of it. Green is expected to cause havoc for the Celtic Varsity Boys.
Wisconsin Tier 2 Pack
While the Wisconsin Varsity team is a backs-oriented group, the younger guys are about the forward pack, and almost all of them have been tagged for higher-level tryouts. JT Pkrywinski, Levi Poss, and Zavier Ellis are all part of that group and they can control a game.
Ashleigh DeWitt
The leading scorer for her Sparta HS team, Michigan’s DeWitt has HS All American potential, and is part of a hard-nosed Michigan group that could surprise a lot of fans.
