The Rocky Mountain Rebels are set for the NAI 7s with six teams slated to pitch-up in Salt Lake City.

The program partners with the 5785 program — both are based in Colorado — with 5785 concentrating on 15s and the Rebels concentrating on sevens.

So this month it's time for sevens and the Rebels will field squads in Boys U18 Elite, Boys U18 Open, Boys U16s, Girls U18 Elite, Girls U16s, and Boys U14s. 

The players got a nice treat in preparation as Cody Melphy, who founded the program along with current coach Ethan Piugnet, visited the team and work with them at practice. Melphy, who was a Scholz Award finalist at Life University, is now with the USA 7s team training as part of the US Army's World-Class Athlete Program.

The Rebels will include Riley Schell (scoring a try in the video above), captain Lucas Agasse, Brock Stinson, and Tyler Clark, the core of the Boys Elite team. TJ Lane has been turning heads as a U16 player while Abe Kamara returns after touring with EIRA. Chaslyn Parker is an excellent halfback and another player to watch.
