Gold: No Place For Complacency
Gold: No Place For Complacency
Gary Gold speaks to taking Brazil too lightly.
USA men's 15s head coach Gary Gold addressed directly the question of taking Brazil too lightly when he sat down with FloRugby this week.
Brazil, said Gold, will be a "massive test," and is playing with a lot of confidence following an 18-10 victory over Canada.

"They’ve got a very good set-piece, which you know is certainly one of the cornerstones of any successful team," said the Eagle coach.
Gold also praised Brazil's kicking game.
"We’ve played against Josh [Reeves] last year and we know he’s got a monster left boot and uses it very well," he said. "He’s quite astute in terms of understanding the game and he manages the game well."
But more than worrying about the opposition's attributes, Gold said his Eagles team has to have the right attitude.
"There cannot, and won’t be, any complacency this week," he said. "There’s no room for that—primarily because we know if we are complacent we’re going to get beaten."
