Black Ferns Select Squad For Super Series
Live on FloRugby the Super Series is the top five women's national teams
New Zealand Women's National Team head coach Glenn Moore has selected 30 players to for the Women's Super Series kicking off June 28 in San Diego.
The entire Super Series will be LIVE Worldwide* on FloRugby
Eight of the players come into the trip uncapped, and this will be a stern test for the #1-ranked Black Ferns as they take on the #2-#5 teams in the world in England, Canada, France, and the USA.
Les Elder captains the squad, while Kendra Cocksedge is the most-capped at 47, and serves alongside former Minesota Valkyrie Selica Winiata (36 caps) as vice captains. Ten of the 15 who started against the USA in November (and won 67-6) return, and four of the eight bench players do, too.
It would have been 11, but prop Aidora Itunu was felled by a knee injury, opening up a spot for uncapped Olivia Ward-Duin.
“Olivia has been part of our wider Black Ferns training squad for the past couple of years so she’s familiar with the high-performance environment," Moore told AllBlacks.com. "This is her opportunity to work hard, learn from those around her, and take her game to the next level."

The last time the Black Ferns were on US soil was November 3, 2018 at Soldier Field, when New Zealand scored 11 tries on the way to a convincing victory. But it will be a more experienced USA team, and three other opponents looking to unset the top dogs this time around.
