Scotland’s last outing was a resounding success, as the Scots ended France’s Grand Slam bid with a 28-17 victory in March. It was a positive turnaround from their dismal World Cup showing, where they missed out on the quarterfinals, and spells hope for a nation devoid of any titles since 1999.
Georgia had a tough World Cup last October, going 1-3, but rebounded well to win each of its four matches in the Six Nations B competition this year. The Georgians have long been touted as a potential replacement for lowly Italy in the Six Nations, but they’ll first need to start beating some of the big boys to prove they belong.
The Autumn Nations Cup is something of an audition for Georgia, as is this warm-up test against Scotland. Georgia lost both matches a year ago to Scotland, 44-10 and 36-9 respectively, but they’ll hope their fortunes are better this go around.

Scotland will run out a strong lineup on Friday against Georgia, with marquee talent Finn Russell returning to the bench. After being excluded from the team in the Six Nations over a spat with head coach Gregor Townsend, the two have made amends and the superstar Racing 92 man will once again don the Scottish strip.
Fraser Brown will captain the team from his hooker position, joined in the front row by Zander Fagerson and British & Irish Lions hopeful Rory Sutherland.

The Georgians will have a new-look outfit come Friday, with just six players retained from their World Cup venture a year ago. Merab Sharikadze will captain the team from his inside center position, while 28 year old Lexo Kaulashvili will score his first ever cap in the front row as tight head prop.
